How to Prepare...

The National Association of Speed and Explosion provides two unique approaches for applicants to prepare and complete the certification exam:

Self-Study - Applicants register, prepare on their own, and complete the exam at an NASE testing site or in their locality when 3 or more register. Exams are held twice each year on various dates in over 30 states. Read more about the Self-Study approach...

Online Course - The NASE offers a complete online certification course through edteckonline. This program is structured from the comfort of your own home and accessible at all times 24hrs/day. The online environment allows you to work with an Instructor to become educated and certified (exam completed online) in speed and explosion from a computer setting without having to attend appointments or seminars. School Districts may cover the fee as part of high school and middle school coaches’ teaching recertification requirements. Read more about the Online Certification Course...

The chart below compares the two methods to help you decide upon the best choice for your situation.

For both the Online Course and Self-Study approach to certification, the NASE and its staff of State Directors and other personnel focuses entirely on the improvement of speed in short sprints (playing speed) and provides practical information that can be immediately applied to the coaching and training setting. The certification exam also follows this philosophy by concentrating on practical, useful content.

What You'll Learn...
